Thank you! The carpet installers came yesterday and put the finishing touches on our months-long basement remodeling project. We've put in hundreds of hours of work, and it finally does look good, if I do say so myself.
Any comment on American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky v. Mercer County, Kentucky (6th Cir. 2005) that seems to have given the ACLU a good slapping down? I don't see much about this anywhere.
I'm joining in on the congratualtions because I'm sure I know who they're meant for even as I am not certain about which aspect of his progress they refer to. But thinking well of the individual under consideration -- a hearty slap and congrats from me too.
Dear Ann, I'm a long time lurker, but I thought I'd just de-lurk for a moment to thank you for the congratulations. I was chosen to be the TA for my college's English department, and no one, not even my mother, was excited for me. The next day, you posted this on your site, which gave me the sense that I did the right thing in accepting the position and it made me feel like someone out there was proud of me. I know there are thousands of English TAs, but I felt honored to be chosen and dejected when those closest to me did not want to celebrate with me. So, thank you. Yours, Cake

I enthusiastically second the congratulations!
Moi aussi!

Thanks, we're all glad the strike is over too!
Congratulations!

So, thank you.

Good luck, Cake. You should follow your heart. I'm sure your mom wants you to be happy. Maybe she just worries...
