I love the juxtaposition of Sevigny talking about her role as the secomd wife of a polygamous family while havein gtea in a cafe in the East Village.
I've seen her running around the city a couple of times, and it's always hard to square her downtown, hipster image with the character she plays on the show.

I agree with her. The characters in that show are very one-note. I watch it, but I guess I judge it against the HBO gold standard of The Sopranos.
Reading that article, I had a sudden appreciation for the character of Rhonda for its insight into the multilayered character of Nicki.
She enjoys the same sort of sheltered entitlement that Nicki probably grew used to within the environs of the compound.
It will be interesting to see if the writers develop the interaction between the two of them further.
