I did read Evan's post. And I, too, found it amusing.
I am never quite sure what it means to be "snarky" but i don't think I was trying to be. I was merely struck by the juxtaposition of Blondie (one who shares a name with a rock icon out of NY) commenting on Prof. Althouse's "rock star" status. Just as I think I would have been struck if someone calling himself Bono, Sting or Elvis had made a similar comment.
And, based on the last time I heard/saw Blondie perform, it is fair to say that Blondie kicks ass.
Funny piece. How famous are successful bloggers? Take Reynolds and Althouse. Reynolds raw fame quotient is higher because the Althouse audience is quirkier, but how famous are they? They are sort of famous, but not really, not in the world of Big Fame. But they definitely have Cult Status.

I'll give him some credit. He made me laugh out loud.
And congratulations Ann on your own rock star status.
Being called a rock star by "Blondie", high praise indeed.
As opposed to something bland and lacking personality like "jim"?
Did you even read Evan's post, dear snarky commenter? Or are you just here to snark and snipe?
Well, at least Jim got his ass kicked by someone named Blondie.

I stand corrected and apologize to all Jims everywhere.
I read it as ripping on a dumb blonde ... not about Blondie.
And FYI ... snarky. It's rather onomatopoeic ...
