"Look at the graphic!"

I say, laughing at the graphic: "Democrats win the house." It's a 40-foot swirl.

"CNN, tell us how you really feel," my tablemate Stephen Warley says.

The really interesting thing is that everyone is making the same mistake as 2004. All the pundits are calling races based on exit polls instead of looking at the real numbers.

Yeah, I am finding that annoying. Maybe I should just go to sleep and find out the news tomorrow.

Pelosi: "A woman in power represents what's new in politics."

"Why?"

"Because it's never happened before."

Nevermind that she's a moonbat liberal, and it's her political views that matter.

News just in: Bush says that the House is on the course to victory.

That's right Simon. And the real numbers look absolutely awful for the Republicans.

BOTH House seats in New Hampshire going to the Democrats!!!! Unbelievable.

"News just in: Bush says that the House is on the course to victory."

Then he's even dumber than I thought he was.

DTL - I meant it in a purely bipartisan sense, but yeah, the numbers lookawful. Even the seats we're winning, we're winning by the skin of our teeth.

Most of the close races are leaning towards the Democrats. At least in the House.

If Musgrave in Colorodo and Allen in Virginia goes down to defeat, I will be a happy camper.

Couldn't give a crap about Ford in Tennessee. He's an anti-gay bigot.

And I'm surprised the Libertarian didn't pull it out for the Senate race in New York. I thought he would be Hillary for sure. ;)

And is Arizona about to defeat it's anti-gay-marriage amendment???? Why isn't that being reported?

Given the utter incompetence of house republicans to actually act like fiscal conservatives, I'm surprised they won any races outside of Utah (and even Utah reelected Matheson, a conservative democrat.)

Funny, Ford is the only Democrat I care about. The rest can go down in flames. Not excited about losing Talent and gaining Corker.

Mortimer Brezny said...

Hey, UT reelected Hatch.

LOL. I don't even know who the Libertarian for Senate in NY was. But I voted for it.

wv: nytsxyc

NYT: Sexy Clinton (seduces us again).

The Republican party richly deserved to lose. The Democrats should restrain their glee- they did not win on the strength of their ideas, but on the incompetence of their competitors. Here's to a divided government, which is often the best possible situation for libertarian types. The only wins that really upset me are the Muslim guy in Minneapolis who supported cop killers and Kathleen Soliah, and the fact that Pelosi will be the speaker of the House. The thought of looking at that terrible, startled rictus of hers is rather off-putting.

DTL - r.e. Arizona, it doesn't look that way, but not enough precincts have reported to call it. It's 52-48 against thusfar, 62% reporting.

77% of the votes in now and it looks like the amendment is down by 4%. Good for Arizona.

Thank you. It is a rictus. Hate that Pelosi.
