A day with a deadline.

Sorry for the light blogging today. I had a late night of traveling...

Ooh! Someone just rang my doorbell! Tomorrow is a little primary here in Wisconsin. I don't answer the door....

After a late night of traveling, I was distracted today by a class -- no, that's not a distraction, that's my primary responsibility -- and my second NYT column. So blogging was light. Soon enough the column will be up and we can talk about that.

Meanwhile, I'm eating pasta, drinking two glasses of red wine, and watching an old episode of "Survivor."

It's a slow day here on Althouse, but... tomorrow... tomorrow!... is going to be grand.

We've had several robocalls. Barbara Lawton called for Linda Clifford, Russ Feingold called for Mayor Dave, and another Mayoral candidate called, but his name was snipped off by the Answering Machine (You'd think they'd have their name at the end of the call too!)

I'll be voting tomorrow at 7:05 AM. Alas, that's too early for the Bake Sale that usually goes on at Blessed Sacrament on Election Days.

Good night. Sleep tight. Don't let the bedbugs bite.

(That's what Nana used to say.)

just an observation...

given that you have 5 shots at the NYTs... a rare opportunity... I am fairly amazed that you aren't making the most of it. .. but your postings indicate a piecemeal approach...

Perhaps you have thought this through and are not wasting the chance to make a set of points..but the evidence displayed in your posts ...well "the computer says nahhhh".

sign me purplexed

hdhouse: What are you even talking about? Your world view is alien. Spell it out or quit wasting our time.

Nana also used to use the word "kibitz."

(I see Althouse kept blogging. Silly me. I thought you were done for the night.)

dare i waste the professor's time?

ahhh professor...you have 5 columns i gather..2 written and published..

are you make a set of different points or missing the grand opportunity to write a 5 chapter set?

why do you do this a bit at a time with, as i can read, no discernable thread...?

seems to me that 1 major point addressed from 5 different angles is better than 5 minor points.

and why the bitterness and stuff? i've never attacked you except in letters to the editor and then with taste. geeze ann.

You've repeatedly attacked her.

hdhouse: Doing a 5-piece set is not the right idea for the column at all, but in fact there is a coherent thread.
