"Kris from American Idol should have definitely shaved his creep-stache before performing tonight."

With no TV, I'm reduced to "watching" on Twitter again. Snatching at shreds. Tell me stuff I don't know.

The judges complained that each of them were pitchy. This is the finals, if they were good singers they should be over this by now. The guest singer was better than either of them.

Also, the song writer practically told Kris she wrote the final song so only Adam could sing it. Ironically, that was the song that the judges also complained Adam was pitchy on.

Paula looked like a chocolate chip cookie that was left in the oven a little too long.

Randy made the worst fashion statement of the night with a tan plaid suit and red plaid shirt.

Simon had his shirt unbuttoned down to his navel. He looked like he stepped right out of Saturday Night Fever.

Kris looks like he doesn't have any teeth when he sings. Buy you already knew that, didn't you?

Kris probably should have shaved, but between him and Adam I'd rather have Kris in my bed (he's goofy).

Let's face it, Adam is a closet-case. Everybody seems to think it's amazing Adam got this far, but they all ignore that he only got this far by denying who he is. To me, he's a disgrace.

Speaking of disgraces, Ryan Seacrest made some more gay cracks at Simon's expense. Reminds me of a high school bully.

After watching this episode I think American Idol is the most homophobic show on television.

Were those acid wash jeans that Adam was wearing on the third song or was he just trying out for Def Leppard?

They told this adorable story about Kris: he used to not like singing in front of his folks and they would have to pay him quarters to sing. One year he gave his Mother coupons, each good for one song. I loved that! So did she.

The story about Adam was that he was a whiny brat they could never get to shut up.

Tell me stuff I don't know.

Boston beat Toronto 2 to 1 in a pitching duel.

Sorry ;)

Adam was God-awful during the made-for-the-single song that the new judge wrote.

Simply dreadful.

Kris was innocuously not-dreadful on all three of his songs.

Too close to call.

Ann - It looks like the performances have already been posted on youtube.

Adam sang Mad World, A Change is Gonna come, and No Boundaries.

Kris san Ain't No Sunshine, What's Going On, and also No Boundaries.

No Boundaries is the awful song that Kara co-wrote for the final two.

I don't mind seeing performances where the singers emote and scream. Don't buy those kinds of recordings though.

Last song was hideous no matter who sang it.

Did anyone watch Glee after Idol.

My friends all called me saying it was so amazing.

The queen that did Nip/Tuck wrote Glee.

There is nothing "closety" about Adam.

He is so gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I don't think he is trying to be in the closet but why does he need to bring it up? Why ruin his chances?

What I find fascinating is all the pre teen girls that seem to love him.

Titus : There is nothing "closety" about Adam.

Other than his inability to say he is gay. Or tell Seacrest to shut up.

Isn't there a bar anywhere near you that shows AI?

I say again, get a Slingbox. Then you can watch your home tv from anywhere.

However, maybe given the router troubles from earlier today, it might not be the best idea.

I bet a gay bar would have it!

Adam's boyfriend regularly sat with his parents throughout the season. He's not closeted.

I was in the audience for the taping tonight and I thought Adam pretty much wiped the floor with Kris every round. There were a lot of Kris supporters in the house, but people only jumped to their feet when Adam sang.

I definitely must have different standards, but I think Adam is incredibly entertaining, yes, even when screaming. Kris is boringtown.

I went through the whole season without having cast a single vote (in true Althouse style), but that song that Kara co-wrote was so awful, I finally gave in and voted for Kris. I was always philosophical about the differences between the two of them, and honestly, I don't really care who wins. But if I'm going to have to hear that song played on the radio over and over and over again, I would certainly find Kris's version less troublesome than having to hear Adam's screeching through that number. Adam is the more impressive talent, but even with the goofy mustache, Kris is more likeable, and as EnigmatiCore said, Kris was "innocuously not-dreadful on all three of his songs." Adam lost my vote by going for the overkill on Kara's dreadful song.

Wow! I love Ryan Seacrest's suit. The man knows how to dress. Yes, Randy looked like a clown, but an adorable one. Anthony Hopkins is in the audience. That strikes me as strange. Lots of partisans also in the audience, girls with Adam placards. I guess those are the Jews, Muslims and atheist girls. Both guys did well and had one weak song each. I never liked glam rock and still don't, but Adam is good. Kris is more of a John Mayer guy. Both will get a good shot at a career. The best? Toss-up.

Glee was also pretty good, but I'm really tired of Fox and their casual schedules. I almost missed the big finale of Glee!

Once again, the "Idol Single" sounds like it was written by a committee (because it was: Kara and two co-writers).

How is Adam a closet case? Just because he's not saying he's gay? But how is that relevant in a singing competition?

Some of the singers have SOs in their backstory; Gokey did, and Kris Allen does (Love their matching red aprons). Matt? Anoop? Are they straight? How do you know -- it's never been discussed. Why should it be?

I'm sorry I missed the show last night -- visiting family is in town. Not sorry I missed Kara's "song".

Snatching at shreds? My friend Muffin always says "better to snatch a shred than shred a snatch", and I think she's right.

Kris is a local boy, so I'm hoping he takes it. I only heard the stupid moments and hurricanes song but I liked Kris's take better.
