When Seacrest high-fived the blind guy.

And other worst things about Season 8 "American Idol."

My biggest objection was how lame the woman contestants were this year.

C4- agreed, at least the majority of the ones that made it to the Final 13. Although the voting method to get the Final 12, had some merit (primarially in reducing the impact of the "vote for the worst" crowd, aka Sanjaya contingent) it let some good female contestant possibilities get lost while the judges slobbered over Adam, Gokey, Snooze Dawg, Blind Guy, et al.

Kara is truly annoying. How about dumping her and Paula and adding an actual voice coach or someone who really does know singing?

The time running over, though, is just bizarre. People have been producing live shows for decades and these people can't pull it off? Pathetic.

My favorite episode was when "Puck" was thrown out of the house.

If a man with sight, never sees the American Idol, does it make a sound?

I don't mind Kara.

I would add the subtitles that were added when Allison's dad spoke perfectly good english. Just because he had a spanish accent, I guess.

I think they did that with Jorge's brother as well.

Shows are doing that more and more. Survivor sometimes gave JT subtitles because he has a southern accent.

Kara's OK, I guess--somewhere in between Randy & Paula as far as judging attitude goes. I really wish that after Next Great American Band (or whatever it was called) got the axe last year, that Idol would have signed on Sheila E. as a judge.

I'd love to see Bette Midler as a judge, or as a mentor.
