Mind if I quote Rush Limbaugh again?

I was just listening to the podcast of yesterday's show, and this just jumped out at me:
I'm confident that America has not changed as Obama believes it has or wants to make it change, and that this can be beat back. If I didn't think that, I'd chuck it. And I'd spend the rest of my days making sure the last check I wrote bounced.
He emits an enigmatic chuckle at this point. It seemed to mean ah, how well I know myself... or perhaps just I'm so funny... or maybe death, it comes for us all....

Is Rush like Don Draper?

Just fatter and less attractive.

rhhardin said...

Actually Rush has some charities he favors, as to spending his last penny, so it's more likely part of the larger-than-life persona.

He's not inclined that way.

My memory is that you and Rush are born the same day. So you have permission to follow his career with interest. No body knows it all, and we need each others views to see as much as we can on subjects where we are sometimes stuck with an outdated perception. And El Rushbo is a wonderful communicater of fresh ideas, just ask Camile Paglia who adores him.

You don't think he'll leave all his money to his cats?

Yeah keep touting bloated Rush Limpballs.

Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin are like the sun and the moon to the moths of liberalism. They try oh-so-hard to ignore them, but they just can't help coming back again and again. They are helpless; they are attracted to the light even when they claim they dislike them so much.

Rush Limbaugh is ranked #10 on list of celebrity charitible giving

Alex...Do you have an intelligent comment on Limbaugh? We know that he is an enemy to your radical ideology and your painting him as a ridiclous ugly person is a great tactic per the Alinsky Rules. But why not add an intelligent comment sometimes? Life is full of fascinating things never dreamed of by your narrow ideology. Let loose and say what you really think.

Moths aren't attracted to light. They steer by it, by holding it at a constant bearing, on their way to distant mountain meadows.

If the bearing they hold light at is ahead of abeam, then they spiral into the light, which looks like attraction.

No danger of spiraling into the moon, however; so the meadow trick works okay in the wild.

tradguy - I have nothing of interest to say about Rush Limpballs. That hypocrite should have been sent "up the river" to do hard time with other convicts for his Oxycontin abuse. He and all the other motherfucking Republicans support the illegal and insane drug war. They should all pay for their crimes.

END THE DRUG WAR NOW!!!!

Witness said...

But not the Democrats who support it, of course. They're just fine.

Alex said...

Oh and screw any Democrat who supports the Drug War(TM). If Obama actually came out tomorrow against it, I'd polish his knob.

And I take it that's the only reason they have any support at all. . . they "piss off liberals". Which is the most important thing these days.

How the GOP has fallen.

Except for, you know, the giant libertarian wing who thinks they are stupid.

Well surely you who belong to the Ayatollah wing of the GOP wouldn't understand.

"How the GOP has fallen."

Traditionally, bullies don't like it when their targets start hitting back. Not as much fun.

Rush - "I'm so funny..."

Ann - "I'm such a suck up."

Keep it up, Ann...maybe the fat druggie will mention you again.

What an honor.

Alex said...

Yes the GOP is quite pathetic these days as the Party of No. Totally bankrupt of ideas.

I wonder where Rush would rank in IQ versus Couric, Chris Mathews, Olbermann, David Gregory, etc?

I bet he'd be quite high on that list.

Paul said...

Send him up the river for using legal prescription drugs as opposed to President God Damn America the admitted cokehead, right?

Nice double standard you got there.

And yes, count me as another Republican voting libertarian fervently opposed to the government telling us what we can and cannot put into our own bodies.

Jeremy said...

Shann - You really need to read more and blather less.

Alex said...

Paul - no they were illegally obtained prescriptions! Rush Limpballs is a criminal! Send him up the river! I hope he gets shanked in prison for his crimes. Don't drop that soap Rushie boy.

Oh and Limpballs IQ is probably below 50.

"Paul - no they were illegally obtained prescriptions! Rush Limpballs is a criminal! Send him up the river! I hope he gets shanked in prison for his crimes."

I'm not sure that's true but even if it is you conveniently didn't address the object of your knob polishing homoerotic fantasies, BHO, and his illegal drug use. Shouldn't he be sent up the river too?

I'm Full of Soup said...

If Limbaugh has a 50 IQ, then Obama is what 40 or maybe 45?

sonicfrog said...

OK. Just to clarify.

A) Rush is no longer fat. His opinions are still bloated, but, hey, you can't change everything

B) GOP, they may make gains in the next elections, but just as the Dems gained V's in the last two, the Repubs will only gain seats because the opposition is is flat out stupid.

and

C) If Rush were to spend all his money, THAT would stimulate the economy.

Alex,

See if you can be a little bit more of an asshole. It will be difficult, but I'm sure you can do it.

I don't listen to Limbaugh (yeah Alex, making fun of his surname really adds a lot to the dicussion, thanks), but anyone who thinks someone with a 50 IQ can host an entertaining talk radio show for 3 hours is, well, someone with a 50 IQ.

So all Republicans should go to jail for supporting the drug war, but as to Democrats, only ones who support the drug war should be punished, and then their penalty should be sex with an Althouse commenter?

You're no better than the "justice" of the drug war. Shame on you!

And you, an asshole! Oh yeah.

Shanna said...

Well surely you who belong to the Ayatollah wing of the GOP wouldn't understand.

Heh. Whatever, dude. Ayatollah KhohaShanna. That's me.

Shanna said...

Yes the GOP is quite pathetic these days as the Party of No. Totally bankrupt of ideas.

I intially read this as the party of “no total bankruptcy” which would be a little more accurate.

Jeremy said...

Limbaugh to his "dittohead" listeners (you know, people like Ann Althouse):

"is that too many whites are getting away with drug use....The answer to this disparity is not to start letting people out of jail because we're not putting others in jail who are breaking the law. The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them, and send them up the river too."

Except of course, people like himself.

Oh, and for the regulars here to bash the ACLU...during his fight to avoid prosecution for "doctor shopping," they issued a statement in agreement with his privacy defense and filed an amicus curiae brief in support of the fat man.

Alex said...

Jeremy - thanks for backing me up buddy. I know that we can get a lot accomplished!

Bruce Hayden said...

Actually, I think that Rush has a love/hate with Democrats in the White House. Good for ratings (and that money that he would spend), and a lot of material for his show, but he really hates what they, and in particular this crop, do to the country.

J. Cricket said...

Your label could be much more accurate:

Sucking up to Rush Limbaugh

Ben Morris said...

I would assume the enigmatic chuckle meant, "Haha, I'm so rich, as if I could actually spend all this money."

Revenant said...

He and all the other motherfucking Republicans support the illegal and insane drug war. They should all pay for their crimes.

It is always funny when someone attempts to pretend that the War on Drugs is a partisan political issue. As if either party was in any danger of supporting an end to the war.

"I'm confident that America has not changed as Obama believes it has or wants to make it change, and that this can be beat back."

Not much has allowed me to feel good about the direction America is headed. At least Rush is confident. There is one statement that gave me a lift, though...

A comment to a piece in a Brit rag re Obama said that the thing about America is that it is full of Americans. He was, too, confident that America would survive Obama.
