A couple of joggers were attacked by a wild turkey not far from my house. It attacked one guy, flew at him, knocked him down a hill, and cut him up with his talons. The other guy had to go get a big stick to beat him off. I am not making this up!

Do the turkeys have large talons? YES

Unfortunately, many of the turkeys who go wild do so with Wild Turkey.

Always makes a mess.

I spent my day setting up part of one of (if not the) biggest volunteer-run, fundraising plant sale.

Go ahead, Meade. Check out the plant list.

Video.

Thanks for the tip, knox.

I'll look around before I go out to get the mail. We are surrounded by turkeys.

(The kind pictured in the photograph, just in case any neighbors are reading this.)

Oh my! You have Technicolor turkeys in suburban Madison!

Ours are not anywhere near as grand. (Or were you fiddling with that fandangled color filter thinegy on your camera again?)

resplendently ugly. Like a flamingo and a toad mixed it up.

Irene,

Forewarned is forearmed. Or foredrumsticked.

Sorry, that was awful.

Trey, how awful. You and yours will be in our thoughts and prayers.
