OBL said: "I would rather receive two bullets in the head than be taken prisoner. I want to die a martyr – but certainly not in prison."

Says Osama bin Laden's bodyguard, who says he was in charge of killing OBL so that he wouldn't be taken prisoner.

The Bodyguard?

Well, damn, why didn't he?

He's lying, and I think we all understand why.

Osama Bin Laden was a coward who hid in a room for five years rather than risk dying by being caught. He went very far protecting himself.

He was afraid to die, and so he hid and hid, crying into his pillow every night because our country would eventually find out where he was hiding from us.

And when we did, that exposed just how cowardly Osama was. After all, many of us assumed he was a true believer, willing to put out those videos if he was alive, rather than so desperate to be safe that he gave up entirely. WE thought this so much that we were sure he died years ago.

So Al Qaida needs to pretend that Osama died a martyr. Pretty weak effort, though.

My dad's comment on this was "little did he know that SEAL Team Six was part of the Make A Wish Foundation".

This shows how much Arabs fear waterboarding...anything but that.

Well, then, Mission Accomplished.

I see. We're calling "witnesses."

You know what would piss off Obama the most? If Pollywood comes out with a movie, and his role is so small you'd need a magnifying glass to see it.

While, at least we know this much. The guy had electricity coming into his "compound." Or a "villa" that got described by a real estate agent.

And, a dog bit wife @5 in the calf. There were no medics. Or lawyers. On this team!

I wonder if they'll give the tape measure any placement?

What he didn't say: "Please don't make me sing like a canary, wear bad prison garb, and become some guy's girlfriend. And I really hate the water!" The other unsaid: "So make it quick rather than letting me linger as a small, pathetic, caged man."

Karma is him at least dying a small, pathetic, caged man.

No body, no picture, no proof that OBL was even there, despite months of survaillence., body buried at sea-- uh huh. House supposedly had no TV or internet, yet we supposedly see OBL watching TV (that's not him), and we have a "treasure trove" of Computer disks. Pictures of some guy watching TV, and old tapes of an OBL lookalike convince you that OBL was there?

Media unveils the "deathers" strawman, i.e those who believe OBL is still alive. What about those that believe, as reports have said for years, that OBL was ALREADY dead. That strawman tells me immediately that it didn't happen.

Amazing how supposedly intelligent people accept this nonsense w/ ZERO proof, but then I guess that's how the Usurper got in the White House. Intelligigent people (even those "law profs" who should know that Obama is not a natural born Citizen due to birth as a British Subject) turned a blind eye to damning facts, and nefarious associations, and allowed the NWO plant to be installed in the WH. Obama made those Navy Seals war criminals, taking direct orders to kill from an illegal Usurper (they killed someone, just not OBL-- he's already dead).

Never mind the timing of the whole thing (after the obviously fake LFBC), and the ever shifting story. Are you all blind?

Mick...You are also slandering the Seals Team and their leaders along with Obama's minions here. And how did that Helo get in there? Was it a Hollywood mock up?

It's amazing that we both wanted the exact same thing for him.

I'm confused about what makes one a martyr.

I don't know any religion that encourages suicide. Only crank factions would twist logic that way. A martyr is someone who would die rather than deny his faith, but he's not running toward the opportunity.

It's not like the West has been rounding up Muslims to feed to the lions. We're only defending ourselves, but the terrorists are killing more of their fellow Muslims than Westerners.

There's nothing like an eyewitness account from the guy who blew it. Excepting possibly the eyewitness account from the guy who blew it whose religion tells him its a virtue to lie to infidels.

A little practice, and this guy could work for the media.

2 in the chest and one in the head?

OT, I was off on vacation the last week.

What F'ing rookies in the WH press office. The Bushies knew enough to give a short answer and send all the press to the Pentagon where some SOF General or Admisral would give the approved story. It seems like half the NSC and all of the senior aides wanted to give background comments to the press. No.F'ing.Displine.

and What the hell is the Obama administration and the rookies we have in charge of our intel agencies doing?

What is with this, "we captured 5 laptops and 300 storage devices?"

The right answer is, "shit happened, we got in, bird crashed, in the fire fight, a fire started and becuase of the longer than anticipated clearing process, we were unable to properly search the building. our bad, so sorry"

WTF are we doing, telling all the jihadi's in the world that they need to move money, trash cell phones, ditch passports and move today.

a bit less bragging would allow a lot more use of what we found.

Bin Laden could have turned himself in to any embassy or consulate in the last 15 years, and got a guarantee of personal safety and a public and fair trial. He would have caused more trouble if he had done that. He didn't because he wanted to remain free to kill more Americans and possibly be a martyr.

ken in tx said...

I should not have said 'more trouble', I should have said 'a lot of trouble'. Ollie North ID'ed Bin Laden as an American Enemy in congressional testimony in the mid 90s.

Dying a natural death? Only after a couple 100 million in legal costs, a couple of 100 million in security costs, teams ofEuroLeft and ACLU progressive Jews lining up for the honor of defending him and getting book and movie rights releases. 10 years of motions, the whole counterterror file released on "discovery motions", trial prep, trial, appeals before sentencing. 12-15 years of death penalty appeals.

The whole time, he would be a mega-celebrity prisoner, kept in protectivecustody and guarded by a team costing several million extra in the Fed Prison system.
Not small or pathetic. Books written about his trial and days of prison by ACLU lawyers. Then the movies.
And not just by ACLU, but prosecutors on the State's side that see celebrity, riches, even a path to high office.
And somehow, magically, 3 bin Laden manifestos are written then published globally.

Not to mention each year he was alive there might have been hostage taking then butchery incidents to "Free our Jihad's Emir..or else".

Nope, better he was whacked then let civilian justice try and process him.

When Zarqawi was killed by a bomb I was reminded of Shelley's poem Ozymandias which ends:

And on the pedestal these words appear:
`My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away".

And now I'm feeling déjà vu. The sooner OBL is forgotten the better. When the video of him watching himself on television is shown, one has to wonder why anybody thought he was a hero. The heroes aren't the ones hiding like rats. They're the ones hunting them down and ridding the world of them.
