Christie says NO.

Nooooo!

Now, move on, people. It's no. NOOOOO!

Or... oh... wait... a ray of hope....
Two sources said he has started informing people of his decision in advance of his Trenton press conference.

I would think that his best move would be to take a vice-president spot. With any of the present crowd, he would add strength without putting his own future on the line (look at Palin). If he became vice, then he could make the political contacts that would help him to be a more effective chief. He would also be in a better position for a run for chief.

Speaking of actual Presidents who know what they're talking about:

The president spoke at a high school and insisted that Washington “close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share.” He said, as a practical matter, these loopholes made it possible for millionaires to pay a smaller percentage of their income in taxes than a bus driver. “That’s crazy,” the president said.

“Now, this issue goes beyond Democrat or Republican — it’s simply a matter of doing what’s right for America. And if we work together with good faith and determination, the people can win this time, and they will win.”

Almost 200 comments on this, a Christie thread with barely a mention of Palin. Well done.

Palin is like Hitler.

Yo Scott fag--still didn't get the e-grade, as in e-scale for Enlisted, common to all branches of US military? It's a bit deep for a hayseed, but sorry to say, you lost that spat. As per usual.

I still think its funny to insist the wealthy don't pay thier 'fair share' when despite all those loopholes still make up over 60% of the federal income tax revenue.

I know I aspire to join the ranks of millionaires and billionaires when I hit that $250k a year income level just so I can fork over more of my earnings to be fair.

This guy is a complete joke.

Love. How nice. And wouldnt it be lovely if the 47 percent who paid no federal tax chip in as well? Oh, and tje bus driver earns a salary that is ordinary income. The millionairesnandbillionaires tax rate that the president refers to asnthe lower rate is a capital gains tax. Raise the rate next year and people sell this year. Raise the rate right away and people dont sell The tax is voluntary

Not a chance. Not even remote. Hasn't the critical thinking skills to be an editor, and hasn't the coherence to be published.

Besides, if I'm not mistaken, he, or his dominant personality at the time, claimed to be an IT professional.

He is not a conservative by any definition. Why do people want him to run? I have no idea. Good riddance.

There's some ambiguity here. He didn't blow his brains out or slash his wrists. This is not quite a definite no.

Pretty rich for a politician to come out and blame taxpayers for using tax deductions put in place by politicians.

It wasn't Obama that said it...it was Ronald Reagan in 1985.

Was he a joke?

Perhaps the quote was. Reagan lowered tax rates across the board.

Go figure.

Per J:

Having served active-duty enlisted for four years and reserve enlisted for two, I know exactly what a paygrade is. You're the one who had to look it up. Nobody calls it "e-grade", benchpresser faux-editor.

Hoosier - "Perhaps the quote was. Reagan lowered tax rates across the board."

You need to do some research, the quote is certainly not a "joke."

He followed up by raising taxes at least four times due to the tremendous lack of funding coming into the fed.

This is common knowledge for anyone who has ever read anything relating to Reagan's tenure as President.
