GOP supporters:

This is my prediction. I am never wrong as you all know. As a super K-street consultant, I know what you do not know. You have the luxury of my knowledge. I provide you with insights.

The winner of IA is Newt Gingrich.
The winner of NH is Newt Gingrich.
The winner of SC is Newt Gingrich.
The winner of FL is Newt Gingrich.

The ticket for GOP is Newt/Perry.

Romney will come 2nd in IA, NH, SC, and FL.

Thanks to the Almighty for GOP to not accept Romney. He and his VP (Jindal) would have caused the WH a heartburn.

BUT, WE ARE EXCITED about Newt/Perry.

GOP: Sell your assets and contribute to Newt.

I do not like how the Internet is becoming TV. I've noticed this especially over the last 2 years.

Want to read that news story on a newly discovered quirk common among penguins? Tough shit: we have two news anchors who will read it to you.

Interested in cnet.com's top ten wireless kitchen thermometers? Stay tuned for an 8-minute video instead of a 500 word article.

Did you hear about the politician that said something offensive/outrageous/stupid? Rather than transcribing the statement, here's a four-minute clip with the juicy quote buried halfway through.

Want to stop in at the Amusing Photograph Cafe? Well fuck you because it's a Video Cafe now, idiot.

It said I can cover anything, so I did.

Quoth Meade: I trust America's Politico.

Like any other oracle, he needs to be interpreted.

So there I was doing this NYT crossword from July 2009 and it's closed up and everything and the theme which was apparent early turns out to be

STOP ON A DIME
DROP ME A LINE
ROLL THE DICE
FIRE FIGHTERS

So there's that, I win, except for there is still one little box that won't solve because the word "gorilla" does not quite fit the real answer which is looking like "guerrilla" and I'm all, what? what? guerrilla as in, wait, what?

Fuck.

Small war. The phrase flicks over to Spanish for the word for small war to grab a needed adjective, then flicks back to English and sticks it on a noun.

This whole time I thought the word was gorilla warfare and gorilla marketing etc. I just pictured gorillas each time.

Congratulations Paddy O. That does look like a little person.

Amazon has some great vibrators. Every woman w/ half a man needs one.

Dude, Paddy O announces he's going to have a baby girl and you go and post this? Can't you wait a little later in the thread?

edutcher said...

If Newt takes IA, SC, and NH, he won't be POTUS, he'll be the next Pope because it will be the first step toward canonization.

PS Irene, I didn't know you were so funkified.

Petunia said...

Congrats to the O family!

Irene said...

Congratulations, Paddy O. Does someone at your house know how to knit things for little girlie babies?

edutcher, to quote Klaus, "You have no idea."

Well, if spinelli could comment on the Amazon Toys post, I suppose he would.

And AA is the top post on Powerline right now.

After our first ultrasound, the technician told us it was a girl, and I quickly said "Or a very unlucky boy, who doesn't take after his father." My wife didn't think that was funny, but I did.

Congratulations, Paddy O!

I wonder how much Althouse pays America's Politico. I know you can't get that kind of inside scoop for free. Anyway, I'm glad we get such an intimate view into the inner working of D.C., so us hillbillies will know what the enemy is up to. Whatever it costs, it's worth every penny..................................................................................Wohhhh, how long was I out. I think that video gave me flashback or an aneurism or sumtin.

That makes sense: two peas in a pod.

Sure, Meade's propaganda is more concise*. But, the future reading certainty from these tube-jabberers is nearly identical.

Remind me, who was it that (according to Meade) is certain to be an "excellent" president? /rhetorical question

*Not to mention more earnest.

A. Shmendrik said...

As "they" say, all politics is local, so I will not predict IA, NH or SC. FL, I think Newt can do. The others would be nice, but if "they" are correct about Newt and he has been maximizing his poll results, though not necessarily his ground-game, then 2nd in IA or in NH (where Romney is a virtual Favorite Son) is OK by me. If he does not do well in SC, then I have problems. FL is January 31, a long way off in primary time.

I have spoken.

Lemme try that again without typos.

If there ever was a business in need of product safety consultants, it's the Knitwear Cafe...these guys seem legit.

Congrats Paddy!

Freaky knitwear videos are cool.

I agree with Sorun...

I do not trust 'America's Pathetico'. Obvious deference to the democrat establishment is a non-starter.

I'll read Mad magazine if I want the same type of analysis.

Freeman Hunt said...

Congratulations, Paddy O. Look at that--she's already cute!

Carnifex said...

@ Don't tread 2012

Had to chuckle out loud at that one. I still can't tell whether AP is the greatest satirist ever or a giant douche.

Congrats to Paddy O. I myself have no kids. Jumped straight to pappawhood with the wifes grandkids. Best move I ever made.

The video kinda freaked me out. Sorta like "The Blair Witch". Because I was basically raised in the woods, Ive been to the places the actors were, and it punched every button I had. Literally couldn't sleep with the lights out for three nights.

Wife thought that was the funniest thing ever. She, and friends, keep trying to get me to watch "The Exorcist". Yeah, that'll happen, after the parochial school thingy.

Freeman Hunt said...

Wow, Irene. Congrats on the featured sweater. Beautiful work.

Freeman Hunt said...

Sorry, I just realized how confusing that comment was. Sounded like I was referring to the video. The sweater featured in the book.

Oddly enough, Meade also knew that John McCain would make a fine President.

Thanks, Freeman. It was a happy day for me.

@Paddy O, great news!

Paddy O said...

Thanks all!

It is our first.

Irene, congrats to you too! We have knitters, but not of that quality. Very fun to be recognized and included by a master of the art. Let's hear it for creation!

t-man, I though the same thing... though I didn't say it out loud. :-)

Paddy O,

Absolutely stupendous news! All the joy in the world to you!

@ Irene

Awesome sweater. I'm a knitter too but I have not tackled Fair Isle knitting yet. You are very talented. Beautiful!

Right now I'm making a pair of Aran patterned fingerless gloves/gauntlets for myself since I'm done for a while with the knitted chemo hats for my friend.

Irene said...

DBQ, that's great. I have trouble knitting "little things" like gloves, mittens, and hats.
