"Merrimac Ferry opens a month early."

"The outrageously warm mid-March weather has allowed for a 170-year Wisconsin tradition to start a month early."

If this is global warming, I'm sorry, but... there will be winners and losers. It's indelicate to say that, but there it is.

I love taking the ferry across the Lake. Bonus points for getting ice cream on the north side. The ferry across the Mississippi at Cassville is also a nice one.

The one from Tobermory Ontario to Manitoulin Is is a smoke-filled bore.

But luckily it is not Global Warming. So Enjoy. Winter in Wisconsin will return next year.

Another ferry I like to take is the one from Hatteras to Ocracoke. And the one from Pt. Judith to Block Island is great too.

Let someone else do the driving.

Never tried the one from Manitowoc to Ludington, or the high-speed one from Milwaukee to Muskegon. Maybe soon.

A slightly warmer Earth would be overwhelmingly a better Earth, (it was before),and if it were to happen gradually over hundreds of years it would be quite manageable. I support a warmer world.

Weren't we told ad infinitum during last winter's deep freeze that weather isn't climate?

It will be mostly dirty brown people who will be the losers. Is that just not their lot in life? That is probably how God Has ordered the world.

Winner and losers. That's called life. Deal with it.

I would say the climate has changed. We changed from a winter climate to a Spring climate a little early this year.

Enjoy the warm March!

The first ferry I was ever on went to Washington Island, which was also the first island I was ever on. I also like the ferry to Madeline Island.

People in the upper midwest are very lucky to live near the Great Lakes. They are awesome.

I'd like to try the ferry across Lake Michigan sometime. That looks pretty cool. I do like flying over the lake.

I always like reading who is in the boys basketball tourny because there is generally a Wisconsin town I never heard of.

This year the town is Brillion, population 3000, north of Green Bay.

And what kind of name for a town is Cuba City?

Lodi is in the tourny this year! First time. My dad was a Lodi alumni and his team almost went to state so he is going to the game.

Go Blue Devils!

Lots of catholic schools in the tournament. Must be really small schools though if they are division 4 and 5 and Lodi is division 3.

The Merrimac Ferry is just north of Lodi by Okee. The Lake Wisconsin region is one of the prettier parts of Wisconsin.

tits.

One of the few things that helped save GodZero's scrawny ass from worse ratings than he has is the fact that people didn't have to choose between freezing or starving during this mild winter because of rising fuel prices.

I took the high speed ferry once from Milwaukee to Michigan. The trip was very enjoyable and we lucked out with great weather. My only complaint was the price.

The biking to work started a month early, too. We skipped right over into summer riding attire.

I'm guessing our cooling bills for this summer will more than make up for the nice, low heating bills of this last winter. I wonder about drought conditions, too.

The Washington Is. ferry, was my first, too, though I have no desire to take the one to Ludington. I've been out over Lake Superior and can't imagine Lake Michigan being any more interesting.

Anyway you get to Ocracoke is good. When we took our car on the ferry I was searching around for someone to pay. Still can't believe it was "free." That is a great place to do lots of nothing.

This is the warmest winter I can remember in NJ - ever. It's great.

When it's unusually warm in the winter, it's unusually cold somewhere else.

When warm air goes north, cold air has to go south.

Air can't pile up.

It's unusually cold in southern California.

Enjoy it while you have it!

Don't care. Saturday is St. Patrick's Day and it will be warm enough to haul out the Harley. Woo hoo!

That would be mine too. That, and getting to Michigan and saying Okay, we're here, now what?

We visited the towns of Sagatauk and Douglas. Very nice area. Shopping for the wife, beautiful beaches and Dune buggy rides were all readily available. It was a nice long weekend getaway to a place we had never visited before.

It's actually a jet stream that is sitting on top of us here in the Pacific NW where we are cold and wet. You're welcome.

If you think global warming is bad, just look at what a Little Ice Age would do to food production. With a much larger population than 400 years ago, global cooling, which some think is coming soon, would be much worse than global warming.

Of course, it's not really about climate. It's about government control over you life in every way possible, the totalitarian desires fo the left.

I took the ferry from Manitowoc to Ludington the summer before last because I was on my way from Minnesota to the Detroit area and didn't want to drive down through Chicago yet again. I'd seen the route on my road atlas before (an enticing dotted line across the lake) and had always wanted to try it, so, since I was on vacation, I did. I think it was around $150 for me and my car. It was a pleasant day and everything was smooth although the four hour crossing did seem to go by much quicker than I expected. There was enough to do on the boat to easily keep you occupied if staring at the water isn't your cup of tea (including a small movie theater and restaurants, of course).

Before the departure I had the opportunity to ride the bike trail from Manitowoc up to Two Rivers and the Point Beach State Forest and back.

Exsqueeze me? Are you saying our warm weather is somehow being controlled by a Dr Strangelove-like character, in order to turn us into a totalitarian state?....I have some land in Roswell NM I'd like to sell you.

I'm saying the left seizes every opportunity to create a totalitarian state. Facts be damned.

I see you've already bought 5 acres of the finest swamp land.

Yep, some places should be hoping for global warming. Think of all the farming and what not can take place across Siberia.

Dr. Bell sez AGW is racist in its construct, and needs to be eliminated totally from the Earth before the aliens can come down and offer whitey the deal of the century.

Al Sharpton was heard to say, "Will the seas take my untaxed rental property we much".

The big O was seen rubbing his hands together in a washing motion muttering "Good...good".

And Moochie was seen shopping for new summer dresses to take on her next vacay.

Nothing is more fab though than the Ferry from Hyannis to The Vineyard or Nantucket, natch.

And the ferry from Boston to Ptown is like a fucking gay bar. Can't swing a cat without hitting a fag on the prowl.

tits.

Merrimac to Merrimac, quaint, but not fab, natch.

tits.

e, but it isn't free. It costs somebody, somewhere, something. Since it is an extensioin of SR 113 it probably cost the Wisconsin tax payers.

Boring as effin' hell, but to each his own.
