Who was the Recall Walker movement's own worst enemy?

David Blaska has the nominees.

I'd give it to the union slug(s).

The people spoke and they had earplugs.

The screaming at all the non-politcal events.

See Racine tech college 100th anniversry video for best example. Racine newspapers should still have it online.

Ok, I'm not from Wisconsin, so I gotta ask: is "Garage Mahal" Graeme Zielinski?

Blaska's write up sure does suggest he is.

Definitely the head of the teachers' union. Mary Bell and Marty Beil. They are completely out of step with the state population. Someone should tell them it's not 1975 anymore.

I also thought of the beer-throwing-on-Legislator guy.

I nominate the entire bunch collectively. It was truly a team effort to destroy their own credibility in a few short months.

Just like OWS, exposing who they really were and how they really act and think was enough to make up peoples minds.

Whoever thought up the Mafia-style initimadation tactics of the police unions, "suggesting" that businesses put up signs against Walker's reforms.

Greame Zielinski. Every time Graeme speaks, a democrat vote dies.

Horning in on a Special Olympics event and acting like dicks around those kids probably didn't do them any favors among the general populace. That was a new level of low.

Oh, and the fact that Gov. Walker kept his cool showed just what they were up against. They could never rattle him, and that worked against them as well. Class wins support. Being a dick doesn't.

They have met the enemy, and they is them

I say the the fat hunger striker guy. His con was a perfect metaphor for the problem and the protests.

Overfed and starving.

kcom nailed it with the Special Olympics deal.

I'll say the whole sorry bunch of 'em. But they did the rest of us a HUGE favor. They exposed, once and for all, the incredible hypocrisy and intolerance of the left, AND killed Madison's false image as a compassionate, tolerant city full of intelligent, clear-thinking people.

In a sane world, the party elders would have seen what was happening and stepped in to stop it. In this case, however, the party "elders" are 30 years old and leading the crazies over the cliff.

Love it. They essentially torpedoed themselves. Shot themselves in the foot.

And STILL the leftists refuse to understand the consequences of their own actions and refuse to try to understand how normal people see them

The link to the letter at the end of that article was fabulous. I want to find that person, who wrote that thank you letter to the left, and give them a big fat kiss!!

Who was that screaming represtenative guy from Oshkosh? The one that told the female representative from La Crosse that she was "dead!"?

That guy. He jumped the shark.

Good list but the real answer has been stated, the whole sticking selfish lyin' hypocritical douchebag lot of them.

Pretty much anyone who acted like a complete jackass. Is there any other realm of human endeavor where such behavior would be tolerated? Even in sports, no one would defend a Packers fan who shouted obscenities at Eli Manning's family weeks after the game, or tried to conduct protests at Giants headquarters after the season was over.

No nomination for garage mahal? His secret router rantings were one of the high points of the whole affair for me.

After the 2000 election result, it became clear to anyone paying attention, that the left was going insane from rage. The Democratic party, instead of distancing itself from the rage-heads, encourages them.

Zielinski and the Slymer guy sound like what I would expect from a typical angry lefty today. That Zielinski is a spokesperson for the WI Dem party is proof of what I said above. The Dem party leaders encourage disturbing, aberrant behavior from its base, and choose to be represented by creepy people. They will continue to lose elections for that, and deservedly so.
