Stirring up rumors that Obama may replace Biden with Hillary Clinton.

It's the Weekly Standard... conspicuously promoted by Drudge.

It would be a great "game change" — to use the term applied 4 years ago to Sarah Palin.

And — amusingly — it would be Obama taking advice from Sarah Palin, who just a couple days ago said:
[T]he strategists there in the Obama campaign have got to look at a diplomatic way of replacing Joe Biden on the ticket with Hillary. And I don't want to throw out that suggestion and have them actually accept the suggestion because then an Obama-Hillary Clinton ticket would have a darn good chance of winning.
Don't you love the role of Sarah Palin in American politics? On the sidelines... looming...

Palin outfoxed Obama and has made it impossible for him to pull the switch off. Now he'stuck with Joey, a guy who no longer has any reason to trust him, and one very angry Hillary.

Slow Joe's new nickname.

Why would Hillary want to tie this albatross of an administration around her own neck?

She's not running now in 2012. So whether Obama wins or loses it immaterial. If she does want to run in 2016 then the last thing she wants is the scent of utter failure that is the Obama administration.

Frankly the best outcome for her would be an Obama + Biden win in 2012. Because Biden in 2016 is a total joke and Obama would be constitutionally restricted from running again.

@ Rusty

"I chose a German company to crate and ship the machine to Wisconsin. The movers want to be paid in Duechmarks(?)."

Your example would impress me more if you knew that Germany was part of the EU and has used the Euro for years now. And while Argentinans may require a bond in pesos ... why would they? The peso is on very shaky grounds and has been that way off and on for decades. Any Argentinian company that wouldn't prefer to be paid in dollars or euros is an odd one.

For one thing they would save on conversion costs by simply banking the dollars or euros and then paying their bills using that foreign exchange.

As for investing in the USA vs other countries. Guess what? It's not the fault of the investor if America makes it more difficult or more costly to invest here. People will invest their money where there is a good rate of return, solid rule of law, good property rights, fiscal sanity and political stability.

Frankly this is why most of the third world are the third world. Corruption, minimal rule of law, little or few property rights and political/social instability make investors very wary of investing.

*shrug* whenever someone complains about wealthy people not putting money into creating jobs I always reply "ok. you first". Somehow the conversation never really takes off after that.

No idea why.

phx - I like Joe, seems like a decent person.

Yes, because someone who stands up in front of a black audience and shrieks, "They gonna put y'all in CHAINS!" is a decent man full of the milk of human kindness.

No wonder you're a Democrat.

I once read that when using ... within a sentence grammar properly performed would include a space between the last word before the ... and the ... unless it's the end of a sentence...

Now I question memory in general and mine in particular, but I know this relates to Irishfest more than my hero Sarah Palin.
