All of Obama's failures, but we have to re-visit Sarah Palin.

LOOK!! Squirrel!!

Was this the kid who secretly gave a baby to Palin so Palin could pretend the baby was hers?

I'll need to search sully posts to suss this out.

madAsHell and pbandJFR do have a point: those most obsessed with the Palins also believe that Obama is infallible.

That's BS, everyone knows Obama isn't an infidel. ;-)

REMEMBER: If you say anything other than something complimentary towards the Palin, you are obsessed with all their twats.

I don't doubt his service had something to do with it.

Only the WWII generation saw as much combat as our guys in the GWOT. It's unfortunate that the trolls will see fit to make light of it.

Lord, bless the Track Palin family. Many among us love to mock, berate and scold. But You, Lord, died that they might live in eternity. Have mercy on us all in this holy season. Amen and Amen.

@edutcher: Let them spew to their heart's content. There are few facts to go on so it'll be interesting to see where their fetid minds and furtive spurts lead them.

@edutcher,

Nobody said anything about that. Your anticipating an argument that hasn't been made against you. You're trolling yourself.

As for Track and wife, they're human I guess, just like the rest of us.

I know what you're saying, but shilol, AF, the brainless automaton, and leslyn haven't checked in yet.

Well, Track just doesn't know how to handle women, does he?

If he had only handled her like Democratic progeny handle their women, he coulda kept the bitch in line for sure!

Young Hegelian, maybe he should take lessons from Rep. Scott DesJarlais

@Inga,

My favorite part of the story:

"According to a court document, on Dec. 1, police outside the Getaway at 1400 Meridian Place NW observed Moran "grab a white female by the back of her head with his hand and slam her head into the metal trash can cage in front of the nightclub."

Guys who do stuff like this should have their junk put in a Waring blender & then turn it on to puree.

The worst part of it? She's covering for him, and going back for more. This isn't He said/She said. The cops saw him do it!

Why can't those Palins just maintain the facade like the Clintons, Edwards and Kennedys?

It is no accident that this occurred just after a couple of states legalized gay marriage. Once again, teh gays helped undermine the institution of marriage. Not even the Palins are immune to their powers. What hope is there for the rest of us?

Let the gloating begin.

And don't forget to mention "family values"

Just sayin'

I think somefeller may be on to something.

Look how many Kennedy divorces there've been since MA legalized gay marriage.

I'm tempted to say that I'm touched by your attention, chickelit, but I'm sure you have all sorts of little enemies lists, so I suspect I'm not unique on that front. But thanks anyway.

chickelit is hyper-sensitive to comments on Palin threads. I was wondering when "Sullivanist" was going to get thrown out there.

Hey! I wanna be on the Sully list.

somefeller said...

Good point, Garage. And I bet you are on the list too. Or maybe another one. But either way, you're gonna pay and chickelit will be smiling when that check comes due. Make no mistake of that, mister!

Chickelit's "list" is the place to be, be there or be square.

You're already on the Silly list, Inga.

Only libs allowed on Althouse's shit list, sorry Chip.

TroubledVoter, this is what I meant.

PS Funny how some phony folksy keeps showing up on "work" nights like he has no place to go in the morning.

Inga, you automatically sully any thread you appear in.

Chip Ahoy said...

I never understood the guys out there so upset about 9-11 they enlisted. For what? To kick ass on anybody. Kick ass on next-on-the-list. Seems impetuous. The thing is, I've been in the Boy Scouts and deployment in the desert is one harsh ass campout. Did they know what they were getting into? I don't think so.

Then this. Honey, I love you so. Let's get hitched. One year later. I realize now I can't stand you. Let's get divorced. (Which I do know how to spell on account of a helpful song.)

Anonymous said...

Thanks Palladian, that's very human of you, maybe that's what's wrong with you, you're too earthly.

Say what you will, but it's very sad that this is the best of the best that the GOP can put forward to represent their idea of family values.

I have the self-awareness to know that if I ever married, after a year or so, I would be all "I do not want to put up with your shit any more" and bail. Never marrying is divorce prevention.

Michael Haz said...

What is the point of this topic? Track Palin is a private individual; his mother is famous.

Althouse, you are a famous person, mentioned by Rush Limbaugh even. Would you post up a topic if one of your sons had a marriage that ended in divorce? You know, put it up as bait for the trolls?

Leave the Palin children alone.

edutcher said...

Liz, that's like saying never loving is heartbreak prevention.

Humperdink said...

What Michael Haz said.

Military service, especially deployment overseas, produces enormous strain on marriages. Breakups are common. There's nothing unusual here. I wish all the best for the Palins. These things can work out well in the end -- I've seen it happen.

The point is to allow certain individuals to out themselves.

Paul said...

I hope the Palins come together on this (and I'm sure they will.)

Divorce happens even in good families. Lucky for me I've been married over 20 years and still married (and yes to the same woman, I have been married just once!)

Part of the problem is easy divorce was well as looser sexual mores ('friends with benefits, hooking up, out-of-wedlock babies no big deal, etc..), and part of it is the fact woman make up alot of the work force now (I'm not bemoaning that but it does make it easier for either spouse to leave.)

Homosexuals? I doubt that has ANYTHING to do with the divorce rates.

We will only reduce the divorce rate when people become satisfied with their lives and return to God as their guidence (yea I know most of you don't think much of that but I do.)

If he only beat the hell out of her, he would be a Democratic superstar-in-the-making.

President-Mom-Jeans said...

Ah, I see Inga has returned after her written bitchslap from Althouse yesterday. Have any of your fake children gone through made up divorces? Must be hard on the make believe grandchildren.

The media and leftwing (but I repeat myself) obsession with the Palin family is fascinating. Child of Palin, who has not held elected office in several years goes through a divorce, huge news. Child of current Representative Jim Moran pleads guilty to smashing his girlfriends face into a trashcan in a drunk rage, crickets.

I think (I'm not sure, I don't really monitor La Familia Palin) the marriage was long after the deployment.

Some aspects of having a famous parent must suck all the air out of the room.

Only liberals think the purpose of someone like Sarah Palin is to represent the Republican idea of family values.

This is undoubtedly so. However, people are discounting the 'small town' effect.

When you grow up in an area where the choices of significant others are limited by the population size, you make your choices from that limited population universe. Bristol and Track both (I think) married their childhood sweethearts.

Sometimes you get lucky fishing in the small pond and this works out. However, more often the young couple grow up, get out of the small pond and realize that there are many more choices out there than the one you made based on the limited number of possibilities.

Buyer's remorse. It happens all the time and has not so much to do with Palin, family values or any of the other bullshit that the libs will try to trot out. It is just human nature and the way of small towns or in the case of Alaska, limited early choices.

chickelit is hyper-sensitive to comments on Palin threads. I was wondering when "Sullivanist" was going to get thrown out there.

why shouldn't Sullivanist get thrown out there? It's a great phrase to describe a certain type (you know who you are).
Also, I don't think people have said you couldn't go after Track. First off, Track has a dick, so Sullivanists wouldn't go after him the same way as they would Palin. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if pictures of Track weren't used by Sullivan for Wack off material.

Secondly, I think a lot of people, when they are hypersensitive of Palin, are in fact responding to liberal hypocrisy. Libs are the ones making women's studies and war on women arguments and trying to criminalize language against women or pass ridiculous sexual harassment guidelines and turn it all into a pc mes of bells and whistles and code words that are all proof of sexism.
Yet, democrats and libs can make porn movies about Palin, suggest that she isn't the mother of her baby, make all manner of sexist comments (that would certainly be going off in spades if for example we were talking about say Susan Rice or Hillary). Or have a talk show play Razy ass bitch when a congresswoman comes on. Would they ever do that for a Sheila Jackson Lee who is a crazy ass bitch?

And of course feminists applaud Clinton for passing sex harrasment rules that make it criminal for bosses to have relationships with their subordinates even if consensual, yet then can get bj's from his interns and feminists actually argue how they would bring their presidential knee pads to the White House (ie they too would service him).
Why can't you hypocrites live by your own rules? Well, I guess that was asked and answered. Because you're hypocrites and assholes.
If republicans actually were sexist the way democrats are with impunity, you and all the people like you would have your panties in such a bunch our vagina would be beet red from the stretch marks. Your heads would explode from all the bells and whistles going off that signify you were in the presence of sexism! Yet, it's largely libs setting off the alarms.
And you garage seem to have this instinctive bully mentality where you say "stop crying" when it's pointed out ow racist and sexist democrats and libs keep acting. Yet, we then have to hear all about the War On Women and bells and whistles denoting racism (strait up!)over and over.
Why doesn't your side stop with YOUR whining?

jr565 said...

Any time there is a discussion about the need for civility from the left, or the discussion of the various bells and whistles that signify sexism or racism you can be damned sure that it will be dems behaving uncivilly or violently and playing the race/sexism card if not outright engaging in racism/sexism.
It's all projection from the guilty party.

This shows the limitations of pursuing traditional marriage arrangements in a modern society. They got married because she got pregnant. In the old days, that would have been it for better or for worse. These days they can quickly separate, in which case it's not clear why it was the right answer to marry in the first place. Moral confusion.
