"At the hookah bar, Jordan and Emily Wernet, a 25-year-old freelance illustrator of comics and tattoos, joked about the grotesqueness..."

"... of a hand appearing inside a belly and about 'parasites,' 'popping one out,' and 'horrible little grubs' in the midst of more serious conversation about their fears of relinquishing sole ownership of one’s own body."

That's quite a sentence. I present it for your analysis, both formal and substantive. Free free to click here and take in the full context, which is quite interesting (and recently pointed at by Instapundit).

I wonder if Emily has designed tattoos for women's bellies that depict the illusion of seeing through to a distended womb with something grotesque inside.

Commuter, you're entitled to you're opinion, it doesn't mean you know what you're talking about though.Try going to a liberal blog and try holding your own there. I doubt you could do it as long as I've done here on Althouse.

Deirdre, you're so right about the responsibilities of having children. Believe me there comes a day that those children grow up, move away, start their own families and live their own lives. Then you to decide what you want to do with the rest of your life, especially when and if you retire from a job. Having a cause isn't a bad thing, one can devote time to all sorts of things when retired.

You're a young mother now, I know you're enjoying it despite the responsibilities, which we do because we love our children and because we are good parents. Liberals and Democrats feel the same way, the people in this article are YOUNG and foolish.

Enjoy this time, because it goes by SO fast!

@Mundy

It's like living in a frat house!

Some nights, it really does have that feel.
