At the Ice Pellet Café...

Untitled

... have a drink of your favorite precipitation. Please make me a drink of grain alcohol and rainwater, and help yourself to whatever you'd like. No one seems to be ordering ice pellets but I'm thinking it's a bit like bubble tea.

Well, bless your sweet little heart, sending us all that nice, warm weather.

I know it will be the end of skiing, perhaps for the rest of the winter, but it's a very thoughtful Valentine.

PS Looks like the varmint was right, don't it?

Nothing worse than freezing rain followed by snow. I don't like it when nature hides the slick spots.

Soon, if not already, your phone will worn you you're down to 20% battery power.

Remember when Althouse considered reading Titus and selling it? link

While we're waiting, here's me channeling Paul Lynde channeling Titus: link

Hey Meade, would you like to make a deal?

Yeah. Funny how we never hear that!

It's going to be 65 today here. We got all of our snow on christmas and winter has been pretty come and go since then. (I think it was 75 last week!)

A café! I've been waiting for a chance to post this link:

WISCONSINOLOGY

I found this when someone at work mentioned Brooks Stevens, inventor of the Wiener Mobile.

Looks like we're not done with Benghazi just yet.

Panetta just tried to tell McCain the reason those 4 guys weren't saved is that the military is not a global 911 service.

That'll go down well.

Shouldn't that be precipitate?

Not only meteorologically, but chemically, speaking?

God is sending ice cubes. It's his hint to fix a cocktail.

At The Aviary in Chicago, they make thousands of tiny ice pellets for chilling some types of drinks (tiki, swizzles)...in this case (JPG link), the ice is cinnamon flavored.

It's the Obama way,
How many Americans have you
Drone killed today?

President Obama prefers sleet. No, really -- they've got pcitures of him in a sleet storm.

One might be Austin, but I can't imagine the others.

Do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk... ice cream.

Ice cream, Mandrake, children's ice cream.

WTMJ Channel 4 has meteorologist Michael Fish doing a live broadcast from a street corner and he just breathlessly reported that the snow is "barely accumulating."

Since when did we start getting apocalyptic warnings over 3-5 inches of snow?

MadisonMan said...

ice cream.

I just had an ice cream lunch. Chocolate Peanut Butter, from Union South.

The scooper said the 5 previous people had purchased Chocolate turtle, so I was a breath of fresh air.

No one mentions Althouse channeling Jack D. Ripper from Dr. Strangelove?

James at 12:30, ever since the weather channel declared Jim Cantore a "storm tracker" and sent him out to over-emote about anything stronger than a breeze.

Yeah, a killer soundbite.

But we'll have to see if the MSM run with it. I'm thinking not -- right now the AP is headlining his testimony this way: "Panetta defends military response in Libya attack". So ... objective.

Strange that our February is more like what our January usually is. I'm making a big pot of gumbo, steamin' up my kitchen windows.

Rats, I just logged on and ron and Quayle beat me to it. Good one guys.

Though we're still open for Dr. Altlove an Dr. Strangehouse. Both work really well.

Welcome to my world in the Southeast. Schools will close if there is a 25% chance of snow or freezing rain. Not that we often get a nice 3 to 5 inch snowfall.

Creamery/Penn State

People in State College like to think that, but the best Ice Cream in State College is out on S. Atherton at Meyer Dairy.

The Teaberry Ice Cream, or the Black Raspberry there, is perfection.

I'm a little surprised, you haven't made commentary on the rogue ex-cop in LA targeting other cops who slandered and libeled him (his words) to get him fired and ruined not only his LEO career, but his naval one too.

@Trey; I can't believe how they are panicking here; its almost like I'm not in Wisconsin

@MadisonMan, I'll have to check that out the next time in the State College area.
