Garlic press = GOOD.

But looking at the "Others also purchased..." and a GARLIC Peeler? FOR SHAME to the chef who needs one of those! Probably buy sneakers with velcro laces.

Hmmm...I struggled, painfully, through all the Amazon baloney to place an order, starting at your link, for 5 items at about $50 this afternoon, all watch parts and tools related. I'd be interested to know if that order shows up in your report....for today or tomorrow, either one.

Garlic loafs are the most stinking pinched loafs in the world.

Kuhn Rikon Garlic Press is my favorite. I have not tried the Oxo. It's half the price and I have liked a lot of Oxo stuff. The Kuhn does a great job and is easy to clean. (Not sure if the link will give credit to the portal.)

My son needed some big ass antibiotic pills a couple weeks ago. We used a garlic press to crush it so we could mix it into applesauce.

I think I got the garlic press before Amazon existed, let alone Meadehouse.

BaltoHvar: I'm with you on the velcro garlic peeler.

Aridog (and everyone): Feel free to email if you have a question about a specific purchase showing up in the daily report.

Bob_R: That Kuhn Rikon press looks like the crème de la allium presses. HERE'
s the Althouse portal direct link.

Patrick: That reminds me... I have nipped many a cold virus in the bud by mixing into applesauce fresh pressed garlic and swallowing it down the hatch.

Garlic makes stinky loaves and I donated $50.00 to this blog.

OXO rules. I have their fat separator which I use to make my delectable pot roast with gravy, and the rubber stopper that goes in the spout took an unfortunate trip through the garbage disposal. I sent them an email inquiring as to how I could go about purchasing a replacement, and the nice OXO lady sent me one for free along with a coupon for 10% off any OXO item. Love them forever and ever, now.

Cool. First time I use the Althouse portal & my purchase is featured. Was that deliberate?

We bought this ratchet garlic press - it's great

"Was that deliberate?"

Nope. We have no way of knowing who makes what purchase unless the purchaser chooses to identify himself to us. I selected your garlic press as "purchase of the day" based on my 3-part metric that included my love for garlic and the specific amount of earnings to the blog. Thanks.

I think my garlic press is the Zyliss. When you open it after pressing, the press plate raises up to make removal of the remains easy. Easier to clean. Key feature.

Ahh Zyliss - great products indeed - I inherited a Vice for my workbench from my Dad. All ALUMINUM (except for the screw) made in the early 70's and is solid as a Rock.
